Quotable Sunday ~Changes

It has been a trying, emotional and somewhat sad week for me at work. Two very good friends resigned their positions in my office and their last day was Friday. Their departure leaves a big hole not only at my work place but in my heart as well. As we are friends outside of work it is not like I won't ever be seeing them again but they will be sorely missed!

This weeks quotes focus on Change, which I do believe I am about to see a lot of!

Change is the law of life. And those who look only to the past or present are certain to miss the future. ~ John F. Kennedy

It is not the strongest of the species that survive, nor the most intelligent, but the one most responsive to change. ~ Charles Darwin

Everything is transient. Everything is constantly changing. The only thing we have is now. ~ Jessica Lange

Finish each day and be done with it. You have done what you could. Some blunders and absurdities no doubt crept in; forget them as soon as you can. Tomorrow is a new day; begin it well and serenely and with too high a spirit to be encumbered with your old nonsense. ~ Ralph Waldo Emerson

In our lives, change is unavoidable, loss is unavoidable. In the adaptability and ease with which we experience change lie our happiness and freedom. ~Buddha

The only person who likes change is a wet baby. ~Roy Blitzer

Everything ends. But there are always new beginnings. ~Ralph Bellamy

Sorry to hear about the major changes in your office - it's always a bummer when people you really like end up resigning.

Loved your quote choices - especially the one inside the flower picture...the one about the wet baby cracked me up! ;)

Enjoy your Sunday! :)

These are beautiful. I too am suffering from loss and change is so difficult at times. I adore the center one, which begins, "you have to take the good with the bad...."

One of my fave quotes of all time. Hope things transition smoothly for you.

Thanks for sharing.

I really like the quotes you found. My workmate resigned last week. I am going to miss her. She is moving about 45 minutes away so I know I'll see her, but it won't be the same.

Change is always sooo hard. That's why it's important to be reminded with Ralph Belamy's quote that...

Everything ends. But there are always new beginnings.

Hope you'll have a great week with your new beginnings.

Love the last one. I have just gone through major changes, retiring and moving from FL back home to PA, so I know about changes! I am on the other side of missing co-workers who I built relationships with over the years!

I always find change hard. It is fun because right now at work they hired a new gal (another location) but they hired her because they were so impressed. She has a marketing background like myself and they thought she would be useful. I am having a real hard time dealing with her addition because I feel like everyone is trying to take my job away from me.

Anyway while on vacation I saw a thing on the back of a bathroom stall of all place about Attitude by Charles Swindoll. I am really trying to remember what it said and put my attitude in perspective.
