Memorial Day is a United States federal holiday that is observed on the last Monday of May. It was formerly known as Decoration Day. This holiday commemorates U.S. men and women who died in military service for their country.
This first picture is of my Father In Law (on the left) who served in the Korean War. While he did not die in military service, I am sure he knew many who did.

One of my favorite songs ever:
And I'm proud to be an American
Where at least I know I'm free
And I won't forget the men who died
Who gave that right to me
And I gladly stand up . . next to you and defend her still today
Cause there ain't no doubt I love this land
God bless the USA!
~Lee Greenwood
