And can someone give me a link to a "linky" so you can post your quotes if you want to??
Missed you all!!

I am Thankful that his eyes are perfect.
I am Thankful that she is a typical 7 year old second grader.
I am Thankful that they have the best Daddy in the world, and that he is my soul mate.

Don’t stop blogging, because if you do…you stop taking as many pictures!
Our first day of Kindergarten came in late August…. We are now Angry Birds fans. I told my friend Andy that I did not want to download the app, I just knew I would be addicted! Guess what??? I am.
The Cutie Bug LOVES Kindergarten by the way. He scares me, his math is better than his 2nd grade sister’s is.
I have decided that since our school district has taken implemented 4 furlough days this year without an explanation as to when the children actually make up the missed days of school for their education (run on sentence, sorry), that I will be adding homeschool doses to my kids education as I can on Saturdays and during the summer. If I come up with anything exciting I will share it with you.
Little known fact for the day year. I have a teaching degree, but did not choose to use it as my career.
Had enough general rambling yet?? I have.
Just a note in case anyone is actually reading…. I spend way too much time on twitter now, so if you are actually looking for me you can find me here: @coloradomommy
Well, I figured I had better put up a blog post, just so you all know I am o.k. Someone get a big vacuum and suck me back out of Twitter, because that is where I have been… I have no balance, I apologize for that. I want to work my way back to you all, I miss my blogging, and my bloggers!
So please don’t worry, I will be back soon. I will also answer anyone via email that is worried.
Hugs to you all!!!
Thank you Children’s Place for the awesome “Hoodie” Sweatshirt that my daughter loves so much!!

Yes, so I have no Balance! I must say I am sorry to my blogging friends because I have gotten sucked into Twitter in a big way. That is why I haven’t been here…as my Son would say “At All”. I must find my balance between my new Twitter family and my much loved blogging family. That is my goal for this week because honestly I miss you guys!!
So the quotes for this week are on Balance, may I be able to follow them!
Those who have one foot in the canoe, and one foot in the boat are going to fall into the river. ~ Native American Proverb
Live a balanced life--learn some and think some and draw and paint and sing and dance and play and work every day some. ~ Robert Fulghum
You need not feel guilty about not being able to keep your life perfectly balance. Juggling everything is too difficult. All you really need to do is catch it before it hits the floor. ~ Carol Bartz
What I dream of is an art of balance. ~ Henri Matisse
Because I just know you miss them, here are the kids:

Happy New Year everyone! The New Year is always a great time to think about what you want to to better, or more of. A time for new beginnings, so that is the theme of my quotes today. May you all have a wonderful 2011!
There will come a time when you believe everything is finished. That will be the beginning. ~ Louis L'Amour
Beginning is not only a kind of action. It is also a frame of mind, a kind of work, an attitude, a consciousness. ~ Edward Said
Keep on beginning and failing. Each time you fail, start all over gain, and you will grow stronger until you have accomplished a purpose - not the one you began with perhaps, but one you'll be glad to remember. ~ Anne Sullivan
If we don't start, it's certain we can't arrive. ~ Zig Ziglar
Begin doing what you want to do now. We are not living in eternity. We have only this moment, sparkling like a star in our hand and melting like a snowflake. ~ Marie Beynon Ray

"Christmas happens everywhere every time someone reaches out to touch another life with love." ~ Carol Duerksen
Yes, Virginia, there is a Santa Claus. He exists as certainly as love and generosity and devotion exist. ~ Francis P. Church
What is the beginning? Love. What is the course. Love still. What the goal. The goal is love. ~ Christina Rossetti
Love is always bestowed as a gift - freely, willingly and without expectation. We don't love to be loved; we love to love. ~Leo Buscaglia
Love is life. All, everything that I understand I understand only because I love. Everything is, everything exists, only because I love. Everything is united by it alone. Love is God, and to die means that I, a particle of love, shall return to the general and eternal source. ~ Leo Tolstoy
Love is patient, love is kind. It does not envy, it does not boast, it is not proud. It is not rude, it is not self-seeking, it is not easily angered, it keeps no record of wrongs. Love does not delight in evil but rejoices with the truth. It always protects, always trusts, always hopes, always perseveres. Love never fails ... And now these three remain: faith, hope and love. But the greatest of these is love. ~1 Corinthians 13:4–8a, 13

Waves “hi”.
Pardon my absence, things have been a little crazy around here! Between getting ready for Christmas, trying to work things out about who goes to who's house on Christmas and one of the worst workloads at my job ever I just haven’t had the chance to be here.
I know I am not telling you all anything you haven’t experiences yourselves. I have seen many posts this week on how behind or overwhelmed everyone is!
I finally scored 4 days in a row off, and am going to make somewhat of an attempt to get caught up! Beginning with my favorite picture of the week!!
Like my Charlie Brown Christmas tree? One of the many things I got from a giveaway I won from Modern Wall Graphics – Wall Slicks!
I plan to be around tomorrow as well, but just in case I am not I want to wish you all a very Merry Christmas and Happy Holiday from the Day With Two family. May your holiday be as wonderful as you all have been to me!
He who has not Christmas in his heart will never find it under a tree. ~Roy L. Smith
A friend of mine sent me this in an email this week. How he knew I needed to remember a few of these this week I will never know. The list was too good not to share it with you all.
Happy Sunday my friends, I hope your holiday shopping is done and you can enjoy your week!
When in doubt, just take the next small step
Life is too short to waste time hating anyone.
Your job won't take care of you when you are sick. Your friends and parents will. Stay in touch.
Pay off your credit cards every month.
You don't have to win every argument. Agree to disagree.
Cry with someone. It's more healing than crying alone.
It's OK to get angry with God. He can take it.
Save for retirement starting with your first paycheck.
When it comes to chocolate, resistance is futile.
Make peace with your past so it won't screw up the present.
It's OK to let your children see you cry
Don't compare your life to others. You have no idea what their journey is all about.
If a relationship has to be a secret, you shouldn't be in it.
Everything can change in the blink of an eye. But don't worry; God never blinks.
Take a deep breath. It calms the mind.
Get rid of anything that isn't useful, beautiful or joyful.
Whatever doesn't kill you really does make you stronger.
It's never too late to have a happy childhood. But the second one is up to you and no one else.
When it comes to going after what you love in life, don't take no for an answer.
Burn the candles, use the nice sheets, wear the fancy lingerie. Don't save it for a special occasion. Today is special.
Over prepare, then go with the flow.
Be eccentric now. Don't wait for old age to wear purple.
The most important sex organ is the brain.
No one is in charge of your happiness but you.
Frame every so-called disaster with these words ''In five years, will this matter?".
Always choose life.
Forgive everyone everything.
What other people think of you is none of your business....
Time heals almost everything. Give time, time.
However good or bad a situation is, it will change.
Don't take yourself so seriously. No one else does.
Believe in miracles.
God loves you because of who God is, not because of anything you did or didn't do.
Don't audit life. Show up and make the most of it now.
Growing old beats the alternative -- dying young.
Your children get only one childhood.
All that truly matters in the end is that you loved.
Get outside every day.
Miracles are waiting everywhere.
If we all threw our problems in a pile and saw everyone else's, we'd grab ours back.
Envy is a waste of time. You already have all you need.
The best is yet to come.
No matter how you feel, get up, dress up and show up.
Yield.
Life isn't tied with a bow, but it's still a gift
I plan on posting some serious Christmas quotes as we get closer to the holiday, but thought you might enjoy some funny ones I found today. Hope you find one that makes you smile!
Christmas is a race to see which gives out first... your money or your feet.
You can tell a lot about a man by the way he handles three things... a rainy day, an ill loved one and tangled Christmas tree lights.
May you hear those three little words at Christmas: No Assembly Required!
Decorate your homes with lots of mistletoe... this won't really help the environment... But more kissing has got to be good for world peace.

Sorry i haven’t been here the last few weeks. Someone rocked my work world again and I just had to take some time to regroup. Nothing to bad on my end, except more workload because my boss needed to take some time off (read 3 months!) so he could regroup. Sigh….
Jumping back in with an easy one….my sweet Angel and her mini fashion show:
I will be here tomorrow for A Day For Quotes, and am going to try and visit some of my favorite people I have missed so much this week (and maybe hit up a few giveaways too)!!
Have a great weekend my friends…
It was one of those weeks…. One where you love your family, and you could just scream at them at the same time! Thankfully (that is the word of the week is it not?) everything turned out just great. Funny enough it was, for me anyway, one of the best Thanksgivings I have ever had.
My brother’s wife extended an invitation to us to visit their house on Thanksgiving (Bless her beautiful heart). After convincing my Mother it would be fine if we had to share Thanksgiving with her family as well as ours, a wonderful time was had by all. Sadly, a bitter taste was left in my mouth about the whole “who gets who, and which family gets whom on Thanksgiving” thing. We ended up blending 2 families that know each other not at all, and had an absolutely blessed day.
So today, I give you a few random quotes from some of the things I have learned this week: Happy late Thanksgiving everyone!!
From Erin over at Slice o’ Heaven: (You really need to read her post!)
Thanksgiving…
1: the act of giving thanks
2: a prayer expressing gratitude
3: a day appointed for giving thanks for divine goodness: as the fourth Thursday in November observed as a legal holiday in the United States.
And from one of my favorite bloggers, (that I missed so much when she was gone!) Her Inspiration on her header just spoke to me. It was a reminder of the beautiful things in life! Thank you Cupcake!
I believe in pink. I believe that laughing is the best calorie burner. I believe in kissing, kissing alot. I believe in being strong when everything seems to be going wrong. I believe that happy girls are the prettiest girls. I believe that tomorrow is another day and I believe in miracles.
- Audrey Hepburn
My absolute favorite picture from Thanksgiving. The one in black is my Angel. The other 3 are my brothers. Funny enough we are missing my brother’s oldest, and my youngest.
Quote of the week for me:
It’s not what we say about our blessings, but how we use them, is the true measure of our Thanksgiving. ~W.T. Purkiser

If Mom Takes Away your Princess Cart:
You might just steal her beer box to push your brother around in!
That is Blue Bear by the way. Washed 1,259 times, lost 5 times, but long time friend and companion for 4 years!
Thanksgiving in 4 days?? Did this year past very fast or is that just me? Here are a few quotes to get your Thanksgiving week started. Have a great week my friends!
Thanksgiving Day is a jewel, to set in the hearts of honest men; but be careful that you do not take the day, and leave out the gratitude. ~E.P. Powell
Thanksgiving Day comes, by statute, once a year; to the honest man it comes as frequently as the heart of gratitude will allow. ~Edward Sandford Martin
We give thanks for unknown blessings already on their way. ~Author Unknown
Thanksgiving is nothing if not a glad and reverent lifting of the heart to God in honor and praise for His goodness. ~Robert Casper Lintner

Sunday again? How fast the weeks are flying by. I have a few quotes on priorities for you this week, I hope I will remember some of them when I am working on my own. Have a great week!
A hundred years from now it will not matter what my bank account was, the sort of house I lived in, or the kind of car I drove. But the world may be different because I was important in the life of a child. ~ Forest Witcraft
The key is not to prioritize what's on your schedule, but to schedule your priorities. ~ Stephen Covey
We are so busy doing the urgent that we don't have time to do the important. ~ Confucius
Spend time with those you love. One of these days you will say either, “I wish I had,” or “I’m glad I did.”
~Zig Ziglar
