A Day For Quotes: Random

It was one of those weeks…. One where you love your family, and you could just scream at them at the same time! Thankfully (that is the word of the week is it not?) everything turned out just great. Funny enough it was, for me anyway, one of the best Thanksgivings I have ever had.

My brother’s wife extended an invitation to us to visit their house on Thanksgiving (Bless her beautiful heart). After convincing my Mother it would be fine if we had to share Thanksgiving with her family as well as ours, a wonderful time was had by all. Sadly, a bitter taste was left in my mouth about the whole “who gets who, and which family gets whom on Thanksgiving” thing. We ended up blending 2 families that know each other not at all, and had an absolutely blessed day.

So today, I give you a few random quotes from some of the things I have learned this week: Happy late Thanksgiving everyone!!

From Erin over at Slice o’ Heaven: (You really need to read her post!)

Thanksgiving…
1: the act of giving thanks
2: a prayer expressing gratitude
3: a day appointed for giving thanks for divine goodness: as the fourth Thursday in November observed as a legal holiday in the United States.

And from one of my favorite bloggers, (that I missed so much when she was gone!) Her Inspiration on her header just spoke to me. It was a reminder of the beautiful things in life! Thank you Cupcake!

I believe in pink. I believe that laughing is the best calorie burner. I believe in kissing, kissing alot. I believe in being strong when everything seems to be going wrong. I believe that happy girls are the prettiest girls. I believe that tomorrow is another day and I believe in miracles.

My absolute favorite picture from Thanksgiving. The one in black is my Angel. The other 3 are my brothers. Funny enough we are missing my brother’s oldest, and my youngest.

Quote of the week for me:

It’s not what we say about our blessings, but how we use them, is the true measure of our Thanksgiving. ~W.T. Purkiser

I'm glad you had a great Thanksgiving! My husband's family and my family know each other, but we have some of the same problems! It's hard to get two sides of the family together. It sounds like you were pretty successful in making it work!
