A Day For Quotes ~Books

There is nothing quite like a good book!  Being an avid reader myself, it is a joy I am trying very hard to pass on to my children!  It seems as if we have books falling out of every available corner in my house.  We read, my daughter is finally getting old enough to read by herself too!

Today I give you quotes about books!

When you read to a child, when you put a book in a child's hands, you are bringing that child news of the infinitely varied nature of life. You are an awakener. ~ Paula Fox

It is often said that one has but one life to live, but that is nonsense. For one who reads, there is no limit to the number of lives that may be lived, for fiction, biography, and history offer an inexhaustible number of lives in all periods of time. ~ Louis L'Amour

Books are the quietest and most constant of friends: they are the most accessible and wisest of counselors, and the most patient of teachers. ~ Charles William Eliot

Nov17239 Nothing like falling asleep with your best friend, and a good book!

There is more treasure in books than in all the pirates’ loot on Treasure Island... and the best of all, you can enjoy these riches every day of your life. ~ Walt Disney

When you read with your child, you show them that reading is important, but you also show them they're important — that they are so important to you that you will spend 20 minutes a day with your arm around them. ~ Laura Bush

If you love quotes and like to post them on your blog, please feel free to link up below! I will post quotes and the Linky Tool every Sunday, and since I love reading other’s I will visit yours every week!

Those are wonderful quotes. My youngest loves to sit and read, I guess my oldest used to love and listen to me read, not so much anymore but he reads to himself now. It is the most wonderful way to spend quality time with the kids.
