Aloha Friday #2 ~The One Thing I Never Get To Do

Hi all!! For those of you that know me, you know that I NEVER get to do Aloha Friday. By the end of the week for some reason they always want met to finish my work on Fridays (I mean really, what are they thinking!?!?)

This week, I am on Vacation so look out!! Here I am on Aloha Friday!

My Question of the week is:

What is the best “attraction” your parents took you to before your were the age of 12 ?

My answer has got to be the Denver Zoo. That is where we took our kids on Thursday!! My Cutie Bug wanted to see the Giraffes, so here he is in front of them!!

When I was younger my dad wasn't around very much because he was working AND going to school to get his master's at night. One weekend a church in our town sponsored a night under the stars and set up several telescopes. It's not really an "attraction", but I remember it quite fondly as one of the few things my dad and I did together when I was little. :)

It's a place called "Story Land" in New Hampshire, I was young when I went and it was a blast.

Each summer, my parents would take us on road trips that would include something educations. I remember Williamsburg VA, Fort Mc Henry, Mount Vernon (Washington's house), The monuments in DC, and my favorite was Jefferson's Monticello. Of course, as much as I loved these pieces of history my favorites were places like the Bronx Zoo, Hawaiaan Cultural Center, Pearl Harbor and Disney World.

We used to go to Blackpool, as that's the nearest sea side to us, but Mum would never go on any of the rollercoasters!

Probably a big water park I remember going to and this would have been before water parks were everywhere. Now that I think about it, it really wasn't all that big but to a kid it was a lot of fun and that is all that matters.

Hope you are enjoying your vacation & Happy Friday.

I grew up in Eastern Europe in the 70' and 80' so no many attractions there, but lots of museum, churches, underground caves and castles.

My favorite castle my parents took me to many times per my request was Castle Bojnice in Slovakia.

Yay! Vacation for you. enjoy it boo! Do something fun and don't let it just drift by.

I didn't know my parents while growing up and while growing up in an orphanage, they don't take you to see stuff like that.

Hooray for vacation! Hope you had a great week :)

The best attraction before I was 12? I can't remember...isn't that terrible? We did visit lots of battlefields with my dad, which at the time I hated, but now I think it's cool. We often visited Colonial Williamsburg, which I love and Busch Gardens was great too.
