Aloha Friday #1

Yea, so I don’t know what is up with me and actually posting this week, but I thought it was about time to jump in on Aloha Friday’s! If you need an explanation on what this is see the description below from Kailani’s blog at An Island Life!

My question for the week is: How long have you been blogging, and why did you start??

My answer is I officially started my blog in February of 2008, but I am not sure it counts because my very second post was in January of 2009. It was kind of a new years resolution that I actually stuck with!

Why did I start blogging? To have a written record of the lives of my children. Then I found the giveaways…… Then I found the friends!!

Haven’t looked back since. My one regret is that I don’t have more time to do it!

In Hawaii, Aloha Friday is the day that we take it easy and look forward to the weekend. So I thought that on Fridays I would take it easy on posting, too. Therefore, I’ll ask a simple question for you to answer. Nothing that requires a lengthy response.

If you’d like to participate, just post your own question on your blog and leave your link on the MckLinky included in the Aloha Friday post. Don’t forget to visit the other participants! It’s a great way to make new bloggy friends!

I hear ya on the posting...I've had issues this week too LOL. I'm hoping to get back in the swing of things shortly.

I have been blogging for about a year now.

I started just to get my thoughts out there, and for fun. I had no idea it would turn out to be so much more, including the wonderful friends I have made!

Have a great weekend!

I've been blogging for a couple of years. You see a lot of people start out strong and burn out. It's best to take it easy.

Have a great Friday!

I started July 2008 to share my shop with people. I shortly became addicted. =D

I love entering giveaways, too.
Finding friends has been a HUGE perk. =D

Welcome to Aloha Friday.... I have not played the past three weeks. I find when I play aloha I spend a lot of time in front of the computer on Friday because the people are just so great. Since things have been crazy around my house lately I decided not to commit myself but I hope to get back into the fun next week because October will be over.

I started my blog the very end of July 2008. I actually got a few library books about blogging. I had no idea that I would get into this and find all these amazing moms who I feel like have been my friends my entire life. I then did my first post right after we returned from our summer vacation that year. Have not stopped since.

I wanted to use my blog as a diary but then I found the giveaways and friends and well the deepest darkest that I would put on page is held back a little and I'm chaffing.

I love the outlet though.

I started blogging January 2008. To be honest I started blogging as a way to make some extra money.

I started blogging in April 2009 after reading an article in our local paper about a friend I knew growing up who was living a town away and blogging. She was featured on Fox News and a local channel and in the paper. I had only heard of blogging but knew nothing about it really. I started reading her blog and then began playing around with my own. It was addicting!

I love the creative outlet (though I never have enough time!) and I love the friends I've made. In fact, you don't realize how attached you are to some of them until they quit blogging! I've had one friend quit and another recently go private with no warning. I feel so sad :(

I started blogging in may of this year. I blogged because I wanted to meet others out there and then it became an addiction. LOL Seriously I wanted to blog about my journey raising an autistic child and promote autism awareness. I know do that, share recipes and reviews and giveaways! I have made many friends in the blog world and I have no regrets.

I just started blogging April of this year. I wanted a place to document my memories and daily adventures with my girls. I then started reviews and giveaways and now, what I have is a mix of things! I love it though. I love how many wonderful people I have met!

I started blogging September 2008 - but didn't really start posting regularly (as in daily) until December 2008. I started as a way to keep my long-distance friends and family updated on Princess Nagger's early years (and so I'd have a way to keep track of the fun for the future since I've never been one to keep a journal or diary). It made it a lot easier then sending out mass emails with pictures attached like I was doing prior. Then it grew - boy, did it ever! It's quite addicting, and it's been so much fun making friends with cool people all over through their blogs. :)

I started my current blog about 2 years ago, and did a blog on MySpace for about a year or so before that. I switched blogs to give it some legitimacy and let readers who weren't on MySpace read. The main purpose of my blog is to keep our far-flung family up-to-date on our kids' lives. ;)
