Quotable Sunday ~Goals

My Angel turned 5 last week, and my baby boy turns 3 this week, where does the time go?

I have spent much time in the last few week reflecting on my own life and where I want to go in the future. It seems that the last five years have been a mix of daily survival and caring for the needs of small children, very normal and exactly the way I wanted these years to be!

I have come to the conclusion that now that my children are getting older, I must take some time to think about what I want to achieve over the next few years. An opportunity was dumped in my lap this week to do just that. I will keep you posted as to the outcome if and when it does happen.

I must now look to the future to be able to teach my children how to set their own goals and how to get on a path to achieve them.

~GOALS~

I want to be able to look back someday and say, "I did make a difference." Whether is was to open the minds of people to think that a woman can do a good job, or whether it's the fact that so many kids out there think that they could be like me. ~ Antonia Novello

A man without a purpose is like a ship without a rudder. ~ Thomas Carlyle

Whoever wants to reach a distant goal must take many small steps. ~ Helmut Schmidt

Reach high, for stars lie hidden in your soul. Dream deep, for every dream precedes the goal. ~ Ralph Vaull Starr

The ultimate goal should be doing your best and enjoying it. ~ Peggy Fleming

The secret of getting ahead is getting started. The secret of getting started is breaking your complex overwhelming tasks into small manageable tasks, and then starting on the first one. ~ Mark Twain

Always dream and shoot higher than you know how to. Don't bother just to be better than your contemporaries or predecessors. Try to be better than yourself. ~ William Faulkner
