Take Me Back Tuesday ~Plaid?

Hey! I know you guys were missing my family and their plaid, so I was looking for plaid in my Mom’s photo album and found this!! It does count as plaid because, well….my brother is wearing plaid you know.

I also had to share this because it took me back to 1980. When I still had 2 living Grandparents. The first is my Mom’s mom, and the second is my Dad’s mom. Both gone for many years now. I never was lucky enough to know my Grandpa’s as they were both gone way before I was even born.

I love participating in Take Me Back Tuesday because it gives me back those very precious moments I seem to have forgotten, like the simple thing of having Grandparents.

Absolutely, Positively Perfect

For the record, after a final visit to the eye doctor last week, he declared my Cutie Bug’s eye alignment perfect!!

Yea, for us, we could not be more pleased that his surgery for his Strabismus was completely successful!

Take Me Back Tuesday ~2006

September 2006 (Football season don't you know!) My Angel was almost 2 1/2, and Cutie Bug was just 4 months.

mosaic of kids 09_2006

Can someone please tell me what happened to this tiny baby with the cheeks?? What about the little toddler with the great smile? The smile is still there, when she is not 6 going on 13!

I was waiting in line at the store the other day, when the cashier asked the man in front of me how his daughter was (yes, our town is small enough that the grocery cashiers remember you!). His answer was great, when she is not 10 going on 16. I had to have snorted out loud, because the cashier looked at me and with a smile asked “how old is yours”? I replied she is almost 6, going on 13!

Sorry, the story just seamed to jump out at me. When did it happen that my daughter uses phrases of “well it’s like you know Mom!”. And my all time favorite “Whatever”. Lord please help me when she is 13, and 16 for that matter.

Take Me Back Tuesday ~Smiles

I was lucky with both my kids and was able to grab the camera and capture their first smiles!

First is my daughter who was right at 2 months old, June 2004. smiles 2 6-23--04

Below is my son, who started smiling just a week before he was 2 months! June 2006.

Smiling is infectious,

You can catch it like the flu.

Someone smiled at me today,

And I started smiling too.
