This weeks assignment for In My Neighborhood Tuesday was water.
Living as close to the Rocky Mountains as I do, water often means rivers here. This is from a vacation we took to Estes Park in September of 2008. We stayed in these cute, if not somewhat rustic, cabins called Loveland Heights Cottages. All of their cabins are either hanging over the Big Thompson River or extremely close.
You can see below that from the back deck of our cabin we were about 3 yards away from the river! It was pretty cool to hear that water rushing by as you are drifting off to sleep!
Got some great water photos to show off this week? Or just love taking pictures in general?? Then head on over to Eighty MPH Mom and get your assignment for the week!
Here is a preview of the next few weeks
September 28th: Something New – Let’s see what “new” thing you come up with!
October 5th: Yellow Flower(s) – Let your imagination run wild.
October 12th: Unusual Mailbox – There are some pretty, funny, original mailboxes out there – find one or a few!
October 19th: In Flight – Post a picture of an airplane, from an airplane, a bird in flight or anything else in flight.

I was so going to join this week, and again forget. Great photo of the kids and water!
Oh what a sweet pic!
That is so cool that you were so close to the water.
What a great photo. I think that would be so neat to be able to listen to the water that close while I drift off to sleep. It looks so cozy there :)
Thanks for joining!
Oh - and Nichol - it's not too late!
Ahhh this totally makes me want to go camping! I miss hearing that - it's SO relaxing. So cool :)
That picture makes me miss the river that used to be in our yard when we lived up in N.H.
We just loved Estes Park when we went there this summer -- I hope we can go there again soon! The best thing about the Rocky's...no mosquitoes! (We had a billion of those pesky critters in Illinois this summer!)
What a beautiful view! What a sweet photo of your kids.
