In My Neighborhood Tuesday ~Something Old

In our city, we have the University of Northern Colorado (UNC). This beautiful building below is named Gunter Hall, and is one of the University’s Gyms and PE Education centers on what is termed the “Central Campus”. Build in 1926 this old brick building was built when the University was called Colorado State Teachers College. I attended this college from 1987 – 1991 and obtained a degree in Elementary Education. Teaching teachers is still something UNC is known for.

I am so glad you joined the new meme - I am absolutely fascinated by old buildings, downtowns, etc. This is a beauty - and how cool that you went to college there! Is it as beautiful inside?

Thanks!

Wow! That's the finest looking gym I've ever seen! I absolutely love the pointed column type things. (Not up on my architectural terms) :)

Nice school gym. I can just picture the echoing sounds of basketballs. :)
