A Visit to Build A Bear

Back in December I won a giveaway from Bridgette at The Not-So-Blog’s Experimental Mommy. Originally I won a Build A Bear stuffed Frosty the Snow Man, but due to a small snafu, I actually ended up with a $25 Gift Card instead. I have to tell you that this was a big benefit to Build A Bear!

We were out and about on Saturday and decided to visit our local Build A Bear one town over. The place was packed!! My kids picked out their animals, Dimples Teddy for my Cutie Bug (now know as “Black Bear”) and Velvet Puppy for my Angel (now know as “Rocky”). Can I just tell you real quick about the quality of these animals? When they say Velvet, they really mean it! But then, there are the clothes! I forgot about the clothes, that is what lead us to spend way more than our $25 gift certificate balance was!

Luckily I talked my daughter into the High School Musical outfit that was 1/2 off! Please note the cute red slippers that complete the outfit!! For the boy, I stumbled into the sports team section, does it get any cuter that the Colorado Rockies t-shirt I found for Bear? Oh wait, yes it does get cuter, the sandals were just way to cute to pass up!!As you can see, Rocky the Puppy and Black Bear were a huge hit in our house!!

I do realize that this post ended up sounding like a review, but I was very impressed with Build A Bear. While I can see, it is an expensive treat for kids, they do live up to their reputation in quality and their customer service was awesome!!

That being said, I did not receive any compensation for this post other than the gift card that was a legitimate giveaway win. These opinions are solely mine (and my children's!)

Thanks for reading everyone!

SO much fun! You can tell how thrilled they are! So cool! I'm afraid to take my kids there... I know I'll end up leaving with a much smaller bank account balance!! LOL!

I've been there several times and I do love it. Your kids are so lucky because their stuffed friends are ginormous!

How fun! I think that was a great snafu as well LOL. Those slippers rock - I think I need those.

I'm glad you had fun!

My son loves going to build a bear. I wish I had thought of such a novel idea.
