Take Me Back Tuesday ~Don’t You Wish It Was Summer!

Take me back to Summer of 1971! Don’t you wish you were in your shorts and sundress too? I sure do!!

Summer 1971 no 1

This one always make me think “What you talking’ about Willis”? (Sorry, I wasn’t even that big of a Different Stokes Fan!)

Summer 1971 no 2

My brother and I, and the best dog every “Smokey” in the summer of 1971! I would have been 2 1/2, my brother was 5 1/2. Sometimes I love looking at these pictures just because I love how much my parents neighborhood has changed! If that swing set was still there, you so would not be able to see any house behind it, as the trees have gotten so big!!

You know you want to dig our your old photos and join in right?!?! Just head on over to Kari’s and join in!

If I was wearing a sundress it was only because my parents didn't have a lot of money and had to take help where they could get it. Wait. Oh, ya. Shorts. Heh.

I sure do wish I were in my shorts. So sick of the snow. Great photos!

Cute pics. Your parents still live in the same house you grew up in?? That's so cool! My mom does... I was 3 when we moved in. Now I live 2 streets north of her! =)

You were just the most adorable little girl. Being the brunette that I am, I of course wanted a little blond daughter. Just like you.
And as fate would have it, I had 3 dark haired boys.

And I do wish with all my heart that it was summer. If I see another snow flake I might just scream... therefore I will NOT look out the window as it is snowing. Again.

I love looking at things around us that have changed. Very cool that the trees are so big now. We planted a tree that was just a tiny sapling in our yard right after we bought our house and that tree is so big now and it has only been 8 years.
